Would you change your plans for a good deal?

So with the discounts that came out today I can go to Disney at the end of Sept into Oct for a great deal for 3 adults and 2 kids in one room.

My idea was to go in the month of Oct fully because we are celebrating 3 Oct birthdays.

But with this deal and not knowing if any other fall discounts will be coming out even FL resident will be possible.

Would you book and hold onto it and wait or just say no its not what you had planned in the first place.

I might change my plans if the deal is truly that good. But typically I don't book a trip until I'm able to get what I want for a price I'm comfortable with, so deals have to be pretty exceptional for me to change. And I'm never tempted by deals on add-ons that I wouldn't use such as free dining.

Depends - you can book your first night on the last day of FD and effectively have most of your time in October - but if you really wanted the end of October, then no, I wouldn't change.

We don't even want free dining. So it wasn't that deal. We have two options but only if available which one is always hit and miss and that is military. Now we could go to SOG but I love the idea of the transportation for my mother in law who will be flying right into orlando at that point. We would only shift it by 2 weeks. With Oct being so popular now I just can't see any deals coming out and the only way we will go is if there is a deal for the level of resort we are willing to go into.

The other issue is we don't want to go during columbus weekend cause I have heard that has become a complete disaster with the F&W and a long weekend.

It really depends on why I booked my first preference. I generally do not book unless I am sure I am going on a specific date. If I am flexible and want a discount I wait until it is offered. If the discount was substantial and I was flexible I would make the change.

I agree with Nancyg56 it would depend on why I wanted certain dates, but I would definitely change dates for a better deal if I could go at that time. I changed our April trip to May for a better rate. October discounts haven't been that great the past few years. If the earlier dates work for you go for it...you can still celebrate the October birthdays.

I would absolutely change my dates if my dates were flexible. I am a deal hunter. Why not save money?

Unfortunately, my dates are rarely flexible. Have to stick with schedules that revolve around work, school, summer camp, summer activities, family reunions, ballet recitals, etc.

Wish I had more flexibility for travel dates. If everyone going can easily change dates, I don't see any reason not to change.

For me its not a deal if it is not what I really want. But the date you mentioned would be close enough for me to make it a special trip.
Nothing wrong with being the birthday person a few extra days.:flower3:

It depends. If I were saving a substantial amount and could switch my time off request at work, then yes, and I have done so. If I had a specific reason for my resort choice and could only get the discount by changing resorts, I might not, and once paid rack for this reason. Every trip is different.
