Do you think it's a good idea to buy park tickets now if we know we are going to go in October 2013? We are hoping/saving up to rent DVC points for the Animal Kingdom Villas (or if we can't get AKL, then another DVC property) so we don't have to worry about needing a package that would already include tickets, and if that didn't work out then we would just make a room only reservation at one of the Values.

Do you think this is a good idea in order to save money if the prices go up a lot?

If you have the cash, sure.

That's what I thought, but I wasn't sure if there was some sort of downfall that I wasn't thinking of, but since they don't expire, I figured why not...:confused3

If you can take the hit financial hit now, you are looking to beat two probable price increases.

Two!?! Yeah, I guess you are right, I think you sold me on buying them now I guess we will just have to confirm how many days we want in the parks now because if I upgraded later I would be paying the later price I assume. I have never had to upgrade tickets before. But I think we will be able to narrow down our park days now.

For a detailed description of upgrading, the link in CheshireFigment's sig has a wealth of information about tickets and such. Very informative and helpful. I think it may be a sticky on the Theme Parks Board.

Thank you, that is awesome! I will definitely read through all of that first just in case.

We bought season ticket vouchers previously and saved on two price increases.
