We are getting tready to book for the beginning of March. ZMost prices quoted to us, inclued the ins. Would you get it? I'm not sure if I want to spend the 200 bucks on it. If we don't need it ,and i really am confused about what it covers exactly.

Hi

Just wondering what type of insurance your refering to??

My stepmom is a travel agent & whenever I told her to remove travelers ins, she never warned me to keep it....
if its car rental ins....most car insurance companies you have for your personal cars include car rental ins...so I'd call your ins rep to confirm.

Was this waht you were looking for??

Yes the traveling kind that Disney adds on. Most of the travel agents are quoting me with the ins. as well. It's over 100 dollars and if it isn't really needed why keep it.

Ask the right questions....like exactly what it covers.....like i said, I usually remove it & my stepmom is in tavel & she nevers talks me back into it.....Half the time it only applies to things that rarely happen...Id ask & then determine if its worth it....For me its NOT

Save the money if you can;)

We normally staunchly refuse added insurace, warranties, service plans, etc. with any purchase. But this time I did opt to purchase the insurance offered through WDW (it is a third-party insurer that does all of the trip insurance for WDW). I called to talk directly with a rep at the insurance company (the Disney reps can't answer the coverage questions).

I bought it because you can cancel the trip if anyone gets sick or injured and you can't go. Now, in the brochure it says for any qualifiable illness, or something like that. When I questioned the rep on what constitutes a "qualifiable" illness, she said that basically if they have a doctor's note saying that you were unable to travel, it qualifies and you can cancel and get your money back. Having had the flu rip through our house last month and knowing how often my preschooler brings home nasty viruses from school, I thought this would be in our best interest. Also, you are covered if you are unable to make your reservations due to travel problems. We are driving from Michigan to FL, and it will cover our vacation costs if we end up in a car accident on the way down. There is a bunch of other stuff it covers, but those were the main sellers for me.

HTH!
