Would you buy A Grand Floridian DVC Membership?

I have to imagine the cost to buy in and the point requirements would be so high, that no, I would not consider buying there. Would probably stay on occasion if there was a standard view or something with reasonable points, but otherwise, probably not.

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I would rather see the Fort Wilderness/River Country DVC come to fruition. MK access by boat, peaceful location, presumed reasonable points, etc.

In a heartbeat, if I could afford enough points to be able to stay an entire week. I guess if it runs about the same as Bay Lake Tower per night it would take 102 points for one week during Adventure Season if I'm figuring this out right. If that is the case, I've got enough for one week, but as much as I love the GF, I think I would rather stay at SSR or OKW and stay longer.

Does anybody else wonder if Disney releases a number of these permit/plan set-ups at a time and then listen to the social media chatter regarding which concepts are more popular?
;)

Recently I've heard of three possibilities - GF, the River Country site, and near Blizzard Beach. One wonders if there are both issues of feasibility and potential popularity as well as expense.

I would love to stay there!!! and I don't think it would take much to convince my husband to buy there!:worship:

I want to see the plans first. Pool etc. If they're removing the high end spa that takes away a little of the appeal.

Based on what I know for sure at this point...I would say yes! Keep in mind all I can go on now is that the DVC portion would be a beautiful as the main resort and have the monorail service available as well.

Now if it happens and the price is out of this world...or other important feature functions are not up to my requirements that 'yes' would turn 'no' in a quick moment!

Thanks for asking....:thumbsup2

NOt interesting in buying, for I am satisfied with my Boardwalk, but def would want to stay there and check it out!!

I might consider it, if we could work out some sort of upgrade from some of our SSR points. But otherwise, no, we have BLT for staying close to Magic Kingdom, so no real need for another Magic Kingdom resort. I'd rather buy more points in California and Hawaii.

The GF is beautiful, but I wouldn't purchase any of these points since they'll be overpriced. SSR is fine with me.
When the lottery $'s do begin rolling in ;), I will but in Hawaii.

Nope - it is one of those resorts that holds absolutely no appeal to me! Now I would be one of the first in line for a Poly DVC!

no

not interested in a dvc at the GF.

have my monrail resort - BLT - and very happy with it.

I would love to add on points there. As long as it wasn't a crazy amount per point and I could buy a small amount. GF is my all time favorite place to stay. Now that we have our VC at BLT we haven't stayed there since Dec. of 2009. I really miss it there.

I would consider it. I really enjoy BLT, so I think I would want to see it first. We only own at BLT right now, but we will be looking into another contract later this year. For us, We really like being close to MK.

I love the GF. I would certainly stay there, but don't think I would buy there, as we already have 500 points and rarely need more than a 1 bd. I hope the rooms are GF size and quality, and not the smaller rooms like those built at BLT.
