...that FD will be offered to the public starting August 15th?

We're going August 11-22, so our trip straddles the current offers and any possible future offers.

We're staying at Pop and going with DxDDP.

We're currently booked with Room Only discount = 3624.

If we change to the $300 gift card offer, we'll pay 3968, so we'll pay $344 for the $300 gift card.

BUT, if FD is offered, we can alter our current ressie, and book a new FD ressie, for a total cost of 3828. This is the ideal, because we'll pay $200 more than we will now, but we'll get a free $100 in gift card and a set of 1-day passes for future use.

Of course, if the FD doesn't get offered, we'll basically be paying a $44 premium for the gift card.

Worth the gamble?

I am not so sure, But you would know by about how much your family spends on dining while you are there. I say only do it if your are going to save money, not lose money in the process!!

Not sure if you are taking in account that it will most likely be the QSDDP for stays at values

Are you thinking a split stay? Do the first half of your trip (the first 5 days) on a the Gift Card offer... then do the remainder of your trip on a room only offer. Upgrade your tickets from the first half of your trip to cover the full stay, and get a 1 day tic for the second half so you can add the DxDDP. If FD comes out, apply it to the second half of your ressie for the better possible discount. Only downside would be that you might have to change rooms after 5 nights, but then again you might not.

Haven't figured out if you did this in your numbers or not... but since you hadn't mentioned a split stay, I was thinking perhaps not.
