I'm not a disney bride- I married my prince 9 months ago at the church where I grew up but I need to know what others think of this situation and how I should handle it
Back when I was planning my wedding I took a good friend (or so I thought) do go wedding dress shopping with me. I had spent HOURS on line looking at wedding dresses and had narrowed it down to about 3 that I wanted to find in some stores- however there was one out of the 3 that I absolutely loved.
One store that I went to with this friend had that one dress that I really thought was the dress for me, I was so excited, yet when I tried it on my friend convinced me that it wasn't for me and that she didn't like it and I ended up picking another dress that wasn't even on my list. she was in a serious relationship to a guy who she knew she was going to marry.
She actually just recently got married, and guess what dress she wore?? that same dress that I had originally picked out that she told me not to get.
I couldn't belive it, I wasn't able to go to the wedding but I saw pictures on facebook and I don't know how to handle this.
It's like, was she so selfish that she wanted the dress for herself? and now I'm having problems with wondering if I could ever trust her opinion again.
If this was just another dress that I had sort of liked, I probably wouldn't be upset but this was the dress i thought was for me that SHE convinvced me not to get.
would you be upset and how would you approach it with her?
the wedding dress to me is the second most important part of the wedding (my hubby being the first) and I thought I asked someone to go with me who I could trust. but know I"m seeing that I was wrong
Now let me just say that the dress I did wear to my wedding was in everyway exactly what I wanted and was absolutely beautiful and perfect for me. but now I just have to question her original motive.
