I don't want to skirt Disney rules. Is this okay?

My parents and sisters are currently on our reservation for May 5-11. They told me today they're thinking of splitting the stay, ie my parents come for the first half and my sister for the second.

They all want to come but my dad won't have paid leave, so he can't take the whole week and they have older dogs they don't want to leave for too long.

We get the dining plan. Obviously they'd each need their own ticket. Should they decide to do this, can I remove my sister from the reservation that way we don't have THAT much extra credits? She'd be staying after my parents leave. Their time wouldn't overlap in the room (although we do have room for all three).

Please let me know if this works or not. Thank you!

You would have to either spend money for the DDP that you do not need, or break the rules. The rules say each guest must be on the DDP for your stay. The simplest way to get around this would be to skip the DDP for this trip.

Okay, thank you. We'll have to discuss what we want to do.

I don't want to skip the DDP. My parents (and I) are very similar. They won't eat a single TS if they're worried about cost. I KNOW it doesn't usually work in our favor financially (although with our number of kids, it does), but it gives us tremendous peace of mind. And then my parents can order whatever they choose with without worrying. And I suspect this will be their last trip.

As the question has been asked and answered, before this thread turns into a discussion of breaking Disney/DVC rules (which is not an allowed topic on the DISBoards) I'm going to go ahead and close this thread.

I'll just add that if your sister isn't on the reservation, she won't get a magic band, won't be eligible for DME or EMH, and you may have trouble matching your FP+ reservations.
