We are planning on going to rpr in july and was thinking of hanging around the pool during the day and around 3:30-4:00 start heading to the parks. we will be there for 7 days so time is not a problem. do you think that this would work or are we gonna miss alot if not there early like shows and stuff like that thanks

I think whatever works for your family is how you should plan. Since you are staying on site for 7 days, you will have the luxury of FOTL access. Personally, our family likes to hit the parks in the morning (less crowded) and then leave around noon time to have lunch and then hang at the pool. We usually have a second wind late afternoon and hit the parks again. Also, you don't indicate the ages of the kids. Now that mine are getting older, sleeping in is more important than getting an early start for them.

We noticed that the HRH got really crowded as the day went on, and then we would be interupted by the afternoon rain. SO, our last trip we would hit the pool until about noon, and then get changed and head over to the park about 1. It was crowded, but we had FOTL, so no worries. Rain did get in our way a little, but not as much as if we were by the pool. We then headed back to change for dinner around 4 or so, did drinks in the club lounge, then dinner and hit the parks again for a few rides. This strategy worked really well for us. The HRH pool was never crowded when we were there. We were able to get an umbrella by the slide every day, and still avoid rain during our pool hours.

Just check the times of some of the last shows, so that you can plan those out. The Hollywood Horror show stops showing around 5 (at least it did last June) and we missed it several times before we managed to get there in time.

when we where there last July, we stayed at the pool till late afternoon, we then went got ready for the park, and had dinner as well, either in the park or at Citywalk, we where there 7 days as well and this worked fine for us, a couple of the days i took DD over to the parks in the mornings,[as we where shopping those nights] for a couple of hours and let her on a few of her favourite rides.

thanks all, my kids are 12,8, & 3 and i hate rushing in the morning on vacation and also i thought the heat wouldn'tbe as bad in the late afternoon and evening. i'll definetly check into the show times and plan around that. also does anyone know where u can show time information and stuff like that. thanks again for all the great replys
