Would this be wrong?

OK, now I have a question and it may sound silly, but I want some opinions. My boyfriend and I got engaged sometime in November of 2006. It was one of those nights where I was telling him some things about myself and my past and he said that it just made him fall in love with me more. We had talked about marriage and it kinda slipped out that he wanted to get married. So, he asked me and I said yes.

This is my problem: He is a big time DISNEY fan!!! His dream was to always propose to his gf at WDW(where I don't know)in front of his family. He's kinda bummed because he already asked me and everyone already knows we're engaged. Would it be wrong for him to have his his dream and do it "right" this time?? I love him with all of my heart and I know this would be one trip that no one would forget!!!  Plus, I know how much that would mean to him. I told him that if he really wanted to, we could.

So, ladies and gentlemen, please give me your opinions and ideas!! I could use them.

I am a fellow bride that didn't have the grand proposal. In fact, I got engaged without any question being asked what so ever. If he really wants to do this, I say go for it. The only thing that I personally would ask is that I have no clue of the details.

I think its a cute idea. If its important to him, why not do it?

Same here!!!! We kinda just knew. No big grand proposal here either.
I agree with this idea too
If you do decide to "redo" the proposal, id avoid the details to make it a surprise
I dont see anything wrong with what your doing.....it sounds fun!!

I think it is a cute idea. Do you have an engagement ring yet? If not, this would be the perfect time for him to give it to you.

Not always, but usually its the girl who dreams of a Dis proposal. If I were you, I'd take full advantage and go for it!

I also agree w/ Holly... not knowing when or where exactly he plans to do it is even sweeter!

I agree with everyone! Why not make his (and your) dreams come true- and what better place than Disney?

This is actually not too much different than what happened to me. Me and my DF have been together over 4 years and we just got engaged Dec.21st of 2006, after talking about marriage for years. We both knew we were getting married and all I ever talked about was how I wanted to be proposed to at Disney. We had really started to get serious about an engagement right before our Disney trip in Dec., so while the actual proposal was a suprise, I basically expected to come home engaged! I wouldn't change it for anything though!

Let us know how it goes! :)

I agree as well. Just make sure it is a suprise to you! Tell him you don't want any details what so ever. That way he can get all excited planning it and you can be genuinely suprised when it happens. :) My DF suprised me with his proposal. I had been expecting one for months but never dreamed he would do it on the day he did....I was SO happy he never let me in on any details...even though I begged lol. Best of luck! :)

Yes! This is what happened to Belle1981 - her DF proposed very romantically with just the two of them, and then he staged another proposal in front of her family so they could join the excitement. I believe her story is in the thread where people post their engagement stories....

I went through something similar also.

My fiance and I talked about marriage and decided before he proposed we were ready to take the next step. I started looking at rings and showing him designs I would like, but my mom advised we should go ring shopping together because seeing a ring I will be wearing my whole life is different than picking out pictures.

So I pretty much picked out my ring (though i didnt know it was going to be the one he chose) and I hinted forever that I always dreamed of getting engaged at Disney when the fireworks go off. So I THOUGHT I knew how it was going to happen but my Fiance totally surprised me by doing it at CInderella's Royal Table and used the slipper to propose - this totally caught me off guard and I was so thrilled he did actually 'get me' as our friends say instead of doing it exactly how I hinted.

Definitely say you dont want to know details - it makes it so much sweeter!

I think it's a cute idea! I don't think I've read too many posts from a guy wanting to do a WDW proposal, it is usually the girls who dream about it. Which is why I think you MUST go for it!!!!! :thumbsup2

All of you guys have made me cry!!!!:) I love all of the responses and I told him and he said that he just might do it. I made him promise me that no matter how much I ask him, don't tell me the details of it.

And No, I can't think of a better place to get proposed to than DISNEY!!!!!!:cloud9: :woohoo:

Once again, I would like to thank everyone for all of your opinions!! I know its kinda funny that a man biggest dream is to propose at Disney, but if you knew the kind of man that I have, you'd understand!!:woohoo:

I just can't wait to go and have a good time!!! Hopefully I'll come back as a Disney bride-to-be!!!:wizard:

lol..my email for wedding stuff is "DisneyBrideToBe@..." thought it was funny you say that too!

I think that's totally cute!!! We're suppose to have our wedding at a local resort here in town, but the more and more we talk about it, we keep thinking about having a Disney wedding!!! Now, that would be my dream!!!:thumbsup2

I agree I went to Disney last year knowing that i was going to get engaged but when and where was a mystery to me. I think its really sweet that he wants to make it special for both of you - something to tell the grandkids after all

I never thought about it like that!!! That would be a great story to tell the grandkids someday!!! Thank you for your opinion as well!!!:thumbsup2
