Would love to see a vegetarian top 5 list

Disney no longer serves veggie burgers at their counter service restaurants :(. We found that out last December. They were my go-to meal for my vegetarian DD and we were at a loss. The Fried Green Tomato sandwich at Rosie's was NOT a good substitute. I ended up having to run to Min and Bill's for a veggie sushi roll but according to All Ears that has also been removed and no veggie option is offered there again other than kids nachos.

My DH and I are meat eaters, so we rarely eat vegetarian meals at TS restaurants. My DD is perfectly happy with pasta in those situations. My favorite vegetarian CS meal is the Grilled Vegetable Stack at Harambe Market. So good!

DD told me this the other day - about the lack of a veggie burger at the counter service restaurants...
i'm really really really disappointed to hear this..

anyone know if this is also true at the TS places that serve them - like the sci fi dine in at DHS?

After hearing about the veggie burgers leaving the CS places on this thread I did a bit of checking and both The Plaza and SciFi Diner list a veggie burger in their options so I think that TS places are still serving them.

So there are two GREAT options in AK but nothing worth writing home about in the rest of the parks?

OK, my DD does like the vegetarian plate at the CS in Morocco so maybe I'm exaggerating a little.
We also miss the veggie burger at Cosmic Rays. We usually ate there once each trip.

At the MK, DH and I like the Lighthouse Sandwich at CHH. I get cravings for it so we make it at home too. In fact, we had it for dinner last night along with our version of Sanaa's tomato and paneer soup. The Lighthouse Sandwich has hummus topped with broccoli slaw and sliced tomato on hearty bread. It's a bit messy but it's really tasty. I haven't had CHH's veggie chili in a while but DH and I liked that a lot too the last time we had it.

In Epcot we recently tried the Freshly Grilled Vegetarian "Chick'n" Breast with Guacamole, Chipotle Corn Salsa, Lettuce and Tomato at the Liberty Inn in the America pavilion. It tastes better than it looks but the trick is to ask for one of their Brioche buns, which they will provide at no extra charge, and make it into a sandwich. I got some honey mustard dressing from the condiment bar to spread on the bun, put the "chick'n" breast on the bun, then spread some of the guacamole on it, then the lettuce and tomato, and then the top half of the bun. It was really tasty. The "Chick'n" is cooked to order so the wait for your food is longer than usual, but that also means you aren't getting something that's been sitting under the warmer for who knows how long.

We tried the black bean burger at Restaurantosaurus recently too and loved it, especially with all the goodies at the toppings bar including guacamole. We enjoyed the southwest salad that came with the burger. Both the burger and the salad were a bit spicy but really tasty.
