My husband and I have been there many times, but would it be alright to take our then one year old daughter? We'd love to go there on our up coming trip but we wouldn't want to impose on other guests.

this is one of those depends questions

Can she sit for the length of the tea? Will she pull everything off the table? (Hate to break the china)

Children are welcome everywhere (other than V&A) :)

The question is, will you be able to take her here and enjoy the tea? :confused3

Good luck!

I agree with the previous poster. We did take our son when he was 1 years old. We were giving him sugar cubes to keep him entertained (I know bad mommy ) but that was the only way we could enjoy the tea. It wasn't really the experience I wanted because I was afraid my son would be disruptive to others. If I had to do it over, I would skip it. We have done the tea sans kids and it was a much more relaxing experiece.

Thanks for the replies - perhaps we'll try Kids Night Out and go by ourselves. (we're also scared in case she's going through a separation anxiety period we hear about lol)

Definately try kids night out and go by yourself. And we have used kids night out for our granddaughter when she was about 18 months old..they are fabulous..don't worry about anxiety on the childs part...kids night out is truley excellent.
