Would I lose the free dining if I dropped one day from my package?

I booked my families 2 rooms at POP from 8/26 to 9/3 through AAA because the TA was able to get the rooms and when I tried Disney never had them available. I think that we will check out on 9/2 because of work schedule and when I asked the TA about the procedure to change my reservation dates, she told me that I really shouldn't alter the dates because I might lose my free dining. She tells me that Disney is now only offering the free dining from 9/2-9/22. I ignored her on the dates, it is probably because they have no more free dining packages available before 9/2.

Has anyone ever dropped a date and had problems with a reservation? I think that she just doesn't want to bother. I was pretty annoyed at the suggestion but could it be a problem?

I was told by CRV that I could drop my days back down without losing dining. Don't know if it is the same deal when you book thru someone else!:confused3

I'm not sure how it works but I would think that if your just dropping one day but it still falls within the free dining period you should be okay but I would still check with whoever you booked your trip through because alot of these promotions do have restrictions and sometimes you can alter them and at times you can't.

You can drop a day w/o losing the plan, as long as the begining date is still within the free dining dates. I specifically asked this question because I wasn't sure if we'd be able to leave on a Tuesday night or if we'd need to wait until Wednesday, so I decided to book Tuesday just in case. It's much easier to drop a day than to add one. So I double checked with the CM that booked my package and she said it would be no problem to drop a day.

I dropped a couple of days and I was able to keep my free dining.
Good Luck.

Have fun at Disney!:wizard:

I think there was only a minimum three night stay with the free dining package. As long as you have that minimum then it's not a problem to drop nights. I've done it beforehand and also have checked out early from a resort with no repercussions. ---Kathy
