Hi everyone. I was curious if anyone may own a timeshare or reserved hotel room they may be unable to use and may be willing to trade for some DW tickets. I purchased some tickets online a while back planning to take my 2 children for the first time and my daughter which has cancer fell ill and was unable to go. After that our finances went down hill and although I've recovered somewhat with my debt, I no longer have the finances to afford lodging. We are taking our own food so that will be no problem and we have (6) 1 day tickets so if anyone is willing to trade lodging for the second set of 3 tickets, please let me know. I would be deeply indebted. Thank you, Faith

I'm sorry to hear about your dd and how you had to cancel your first trip. you might be better checking out mousesavers.com for a code to use at the allstars resort, you would be able to stay longer there, then to trade 3- 1 day tickets.
if you prorate the tickets, each day would be about $50 dollars,
to stay at the bcv or wlv during the week, the points are 13 or 14 points a night, depends on when you are going. okw is less points
per night 10 or 11 points. the going rate now is about $10 a point. only giving you 1 night or if you can find someone with expiring points and available at the resort, maybe 2 nights for your 3-1 day tickets. i have seen with mousesavers.com people using a code anyd getting the allstar resorts for $49 a night , you cound stay 3 night and use all your tickets for 2 days in the park.

good luck, maybe another dvc member can help:sunny:

Thank you for the information. I should have been a little clearer. I didn't mean Disney resorts. I know they are way too expensive. I really don't mind staying anywhere hotel, motel, etc. I've heard that a lot of people make reservations at hotels and timeshares in the Orlando area and can't keep them for whatever reason so to avoid losing the deposit they will sell it off. Thought that would be our best bet. Hotels are so expensive down there. 1-2 nights wouldn't matter to me. Just so we get to visit DW. Thank you very much for the suggestion.

Do you have a particular time you are wanting to go? How many would be staying in the room?

Anytime after march. I really don't mean to be particular or picky, I just need a little time to save a little up for odds and ends. We'll have tickets for a day at DW so there's no worry there. We had intended on going down for 4 days so I bought up 2 days worth of tickets for myself and my 2 children. I figured if we trade off one day each for lodging, we would still have one ticket each and I could solve the problem with lodging for a night or two. I didn't realize the one day tickets weren't worth all that much until I got some info. Looks like I paid more than they are worth but I didn't have much time to look into it. I guess it seemed like I was being stingy when everyone read this and I'm sorry about that, but I just didn't realize they were only worth about $150. Still if anyone has a reservation for a night that they can't make and wish to trade, I would appreciate them contacting me. It would be 4 of us because my mother would be going to help out. Thanks

here is a link on the rent /trade board that a renter needs to rent there points before they expire the end of the month, offer a dollar amount per point or your ticket offer for 2 or 3 nights for during the week, im sure they would try to help you instead of loosing those points, its a try and good luck:sunny:

just in case you still need something:sunny:
