We would appreciate your kindness GREATLY. Are there any qualifications we have to meet in order to use it? We are visiting Orlando the first half of our honeymoon (then going to the marriott casamagna in cancun mexico) but simply cannot afford the cost of the Universal resorts :( IF anyone could help us with discount prices for is willing to send us a fan club card we would appreciate it SO incredibly much! Please email me at: jamieboots1@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Jamie & Jeremy

i think your employer has to be a member to get the fan rate. but if you guys buy a prefered annual pass then you will get a 30% discount off each night.

You have quite a while before your trip to plan which is good. There are quite a few of us willing to walk you through every aspect of your vacation/honeymoon. I have a weakness for your plight in that I was born in Iowa and was about your age when I realized one could leave. I have been to both WDW and USO several times a year since they opened.
Lets look at the discounts available and where you would want to stay on a honeymoon.
Discounts:
Right now the best discount rates seem to be coming from the Prefered Annual Passes. You may think that it out of the question since you have only planned 2 nights at a USO resort? In some cases the AP can save enough to be worth the price.
The next best discount seems to be the Entertainment Card. You can get one of these from buying a book either from Orlando or your location in Iowa. If you are only spending 2 or 3 days at the park this would probably be the best bet.
The third best discount appears to be AAA if you have that.
The fourth is the Fan Club Card. The FC card has its own thread and I think they are easy to get. If not I'll send you mine.
I would suggest http://www.mousesavers.com/universalorlando.html

Also, regarding the FAN Club card. Go to themouseforless.com and you can become a member of their site, eligible for the FAN club card.

I've run out of FAN CLUB cards
I'm so sorry, but I've run out of cards. Fan Club has become "paperless" and is no longer sending out hard cards. You must now go thru their web site and use the code FAN. This code is for members only and you might have to prove that your company is a member. They will honor old cards till the end of the year, but unfortunatley, I no longer have any cards to send out. Perhaps folks on the boards with cards they are not using can loan them out to folks needing them for upcoming trips.
