Would a standard scooter fit through NON HA room door?

My sister and I stayed at Boardwalk Inn for the weekend Aug 23-24. She rented a Pride Victory 10 that fit through the doorway of a standard room with no problems. I held the door for her and would back it up to turn around in the room the next morning (she gets a little too nervous). It made the room a lite cramped but we were usually only there to sleep so no big deal for us. Hope you enjoy it there. It was really a lovely place and great location.

Thank you Sarah! I'm hoping I don't have to utilize a scooter but you comments have made me very comfortable! Hope you had a good time. I can't wait; sore knee or no sore knee!!! :rotfl:

One thing I did think of (and it is on the Boardwalk thread for resorts): on the Inn side of the resort, you will need to take the elevators to the 2nd floor, and then go down a different elevator to get to the Boardwalk and the pathways to Epcot and DHS. It only adds a minute or two to your travel time, but it just seemed awkward to not have a thruway from the first floor. They have one on the Villas side. We are going back to the Inn Oct 13-16 with our Pop (82) and will be having 2 ECV's to deal with then. I can't wait. Hope you have a wonderfully magical time!

If your going to Dhs it better to use the villa elevators it save you some time if it Epcot use the inn side. Have fun on your trip to and have a great time and safe time on the wonderful Disney buses.

I'm staying in the Villa's so it's all good. Yeah, I have no worries about a scooter now since reading all of the great comments and advice everyone has offered. But those buses terrify me! :scared: :scared:

Okay so your all set I use them as a short cut to Dhs I love board walk inn it the best.

Don't be scared about the buses please their not as bad as a couple people make them out to be. The driver work very harder to provide a safe and quick and enjoyable service. And they will help you they don't want you to be uncomfortable or scared to use the bus it just some dont want to break policy. And most will to make a better guest experience but they all will offer help no matter what like verbally and that kind.

Disney has spent the most and got the best buses out of the area hotels for guest in ecvs and wheelchairs. The nova and gillig in public transportation outside Disney a non Disney bus will have the ramp in the front door again a non Disney bus. Disney thought going through the front would be to tight and hard for guest in ecv and wheelchairs and then having to turn around to park so they got them to move it to the back door. These buses can kneel and tilt their wide low floor no steps to enter their basically the BMW of buses and Disney tricked them out. No where will you get more room on the bus to move in a ecv then on a Disney bus so don't worry take your time and remember in a ecv it recommended for safety reason to transfer to another seat.

I hope you have a great trip and use the buses without a problem and I really hope you get a great friendly drive I know you will that will help you park it.

Disney David is correct- Disney bus drivers are efficient and patient. Even 20 years ago the drivers at Disney were very helpful with my mom. And it was every single one of them. Now mom is gone and Pop and Sis need ECV's and we still have had the best bus drivers. In fact, all CM's are helpful if you need them.
Have a great vacation!
