I own at SSR, but thinking of switching resorts (and potentially room types) at the 7-month window this week for early Dec. Since the DVC availability forum is no longer, I would just like to know what current availability is at AKV and BWV for my dates. I know it can certainly change.

I'm looking for a 1BR or 2BR (any view) at AKV-Kidani, or a 1BR or 2BR (any view) at BWV for early Dec.

I checked BWV for someone last week, they were sold out for the beginning of December. The second week had some availability.

AKV Kidani has 1 brs available the first week of Dec.

I have heard that at Christmas the more expensive tend to b the most open.

AKV will depend on category. Concierge Level and Values will probably be gone, standard view possibly, savanna view probably.

I would think that VWL would be full by 7 months.

I think a general rule is studios book up before 1BR. 2BR may book up before studios, too.

Typical reservation pattern for the WDW resorts is that studios book full before 2BRs which book full before 1BRs. 1BRs can actually still be open long after 2BRs and studios are full. For time in Christmas week at 7 months out, you probably have some chance for AKV savanna or standard view but even that could be gone with 1BR likely giving you more chance than other sizes; at VWL I doubt you will find anything.

I could not get a studio ar VWL for the first week of December. Had to move my trip up a week.
