Hi all:thumbsup2

We are checking in to Hard Rock Hotel at around 5pm in late August (28/8) and wondered whether it is worth taking a first look at Diagon Alley that evening, or waiting for early entry the following morning?

I'm assuming it won't be worth queuing for Gringotts at that time of day, but I was wondering about the rest of the attractions (my boys are thinking of getting the interactive wands and I thought the longer they have to use them the better)::yes:: But are there just too many people at that time of day to make it worthwhile?

I know its early days, but just thought I'd attempt to gauge how the evenings there have been - many thanks :thumbsup2

I was there this past Saturday evening. It as busy but well it's always busy. We did the interactive wands. A few had a person doing the spell and we had to wait but wasn't bad. The ice cream line was long. The shop had people in there but you could move and walk around.

I recommend it. We did that the first time night we were there. It really emptied out around 9:00 pm and we had fun using our wands. You will love it!

I just posted in another thead that I went late afternoon/early evening today and Giagon Alley was a walk in with a lot of kids doing spells but it did not look like if was much of a waiting for the areas I saw. The Hogmead Express was a short wait both ways however ,Gringgotts was closed for any new muggles for the evening. Notice they did not say the ride was down, just no new muggles. I was crowded but not wall to wall people that I was expecting. I had dinner at the Leaky Cauldron and that was about a 20min line. Great theming in the whole area and the CM never seem to step out of character. I will try again maybe next week for Griggotts. So yes your idea is a good one. Just my two cents worth.
