I was in Circuit City today and happened upon a Sunpak digital flash for Nikon. It works TTL, it was on clearance for $22. Since I just paid $180 for an SB600 I thought it might be a good deal for a lightweight backup. Should I keep it? Or is it junk? I have no idea what the original price was. There was only one and I figured if it wasn't any good I could return it. It works iTTL, 90 degree bounce.

If nothing else, it could work as a slave or master flash just fine. As a master, it could probably trigger your SB600 to fire from a different angle at the subject. For the money, I would say keep it. If you don't use it now, you may later on.

concur. It might be able to be used as a slave/master. so you can two lights to illuminate your subject(s). Just think of it as another way of taking photos, which helps them look less flat or lacking dimension.

I have an SB800 and two SB600 that I use this way. I use the in camera to trigger the off-shoe remotes and/or use pocket wizards if needed for distant lighting.
