Worth it To Upgrade?

I need some advice please
I am wondering if i should upgrade my 7 day MYW ticket for an annual pass and get the DDE? Also, do I have to do it when we arrive at the parks??

Not enough information as to whether you should.

The upgrade can only be done at Guest Relations which means you cannot order the DDE prior to doing the upgrade.

We are spending 2 weeks in Orlando and we have the 7 day MYW. I just was wondering if paying the upgrade for the AP (on one of the tickets) for the discounts and DDE was worth the extra$. We plan on eating at alot of the restaurants listed. and to use the other benifits of an AP.

If you are staying that long, I think you will save plenty with the AP, especially if you are going to some of the more expensive restaurants or character meals. My parents used their's in March and saved anywhere from $10-$40 per meal depending on where they ate, and that was just for 2 people.

You have to go to Guest Relations at one of the parks to upgrade. You cannot get the dining card until you have your AP, and it takes awhile to get the actual card. I ordered mine the beginning of March and still do not have it. However, after you get the card, you can have confirmation that you purchased it faxed to your hotel and you will just use the fax for the time that you are there.

Not any more. DDE no longer emails or faxes confirmations. They were too easy to alter. You now have to pick up a temporary letter from DDE at the Guest Relations window outside the main entrance of Epcot after 5:30 pm on the day they call.

Can I actually take my Annual Pass to Guest Relations and purchase the DDE Card or do I have to do it in advance?

If you already have your AP or an AP voucher, you can call DDE now and order it.

If you are buying your AP at WDW, you must call DDE after you get the AP to order.

DDE is not sold anywhere in person at WDW. It is only available by ordering it via telephone.
