I need to know if it is worth the extra money to stay onsite.

If we stay one night can we come early the day we check in and get express pass privilages and have them on the next day too?

Is the express pass you get with the hotell worth it?

Any info is appreciated.

Yes, the general concensus here is that it is worth it, and it is good for 2 days if you spend 1 night. For me, I'll even stay offsite and book 1 night at Universal hotel mid-trip to get 2 days of unlimited Express Pass access. We may or may not even have anyone use the hotel room, and it's still worth it!

thought of doing this because I actually need 2 rooms....I have a question tho

if I book one room can the passes be shared within the group to avoid booking 2 rooms

The room keys that are issued will be a maximum of 5 per room for the 2 queen. Each person will have their own room key with their full names on them with age. This room key is also your Unlimited Express Pass. So if you share, the names are going to be messed up and ages. Some TM's look at the room keys closely and some don't.

I forgot to add that you are allowed to have 2 adults and 3 children under the age of 18 with out additional charge.

This is what we are doing in August. We are only going to IOA for one day but decided to book a room at the HRH for one night to take advantage of the HOTLP. I know the Hogwarts section of the park is always packed so we also will take advantage of the early entrance on the day we actually check out of HRH.
