Worth it to pool hop to PO?

Has anyone hopped to the pool at PO( from OKW) for the slide? Is it worth it and how do you get there?

We have hopped a couple of times to PO. We have DD and DS who are 4 & 6 and the slide is perfect for them. Not TOO SCARY. We also like swimming and then having pizza there.

I think the pool at PO is great for little kids (if you have them). My boys always loved the pool at DXL, now PO Riverside, too. It is on it's own island, quite private and the landscaping is lovely.

To get there from OKW, take a left when you leave OKW onto Community Drive then a right onto Bonnet Creek Parkway; the entrance to PO is quick right. It's very close. Here's a map: http://www.wdwinfo.com/resortmaps/propertymap.JPG

You might be able to get there by boat but I'm not sure.

if you kids are under 7 years the pool at POFQ is great - over at least until 8 maybe 9 years POR - then if the SALB is really going to be close - you can try CRS - the pyramid was very popular with my niece and nephew.

Keep in mind nowadays Port Orleans Resort comes in two parts - Riverside & French Quarter. POFQ is not currently opened; this is the resort with the dragon slide. I understand POFQ will be reopening soon. PO is next door to OKW although I wouldn't try walking over there. Both POR & POFQ have nice food courts is you are hungry.

My understanding is that POFQ is opening on June 1st. So you can enjoy the dragon then. CSR does have a good slide.
