Worth it to go if we only have 2 days?

Took the family to disney world 7 years ago only because I promised and thought I would hate it. LOVED it instead. It was my three older kids (now teens) and two sets of grandparents.

Now, my husband and I live in California with our two youngest (girl-4, boy-6) while I'm attending law school and we're thinking of a spring road trip to Disneyland. Is it worth going if we'd arrive Friday night, do park on Sat and Sun, and leave Monday morning? My 6 year old is in kindy and has already missed a lot of school due to family visits, and I really can't miss much law school and of course, and our days off do not match up, grr!

We stayed onsite at DisneyWorld, and would probably do so at Disneyland, though I wonder for such a short trip if its worth it?

this is exactly what our trips are. Arrive Fri afternoon, we usually go to the park on Friday afternoon, and then spend all day Sat and Sun....home on Monday.

We usually get a 3 day park hopper and have a wonderful time, ride and see everything we want...

You need to know when to ride what rides and how to collect Fast Passes to get the most from your time.

Well worth the trip..

A few years back we drove straight, 18 hours on a Thurs night/friday, went Sat,Sun and returned on Monday. It was well worth being exhausted.

Ummmm yes!!!!! this was our standard trip last year. Go on Friday night, spend Saturday & part of Sunday in the parks and head home Sunday afternoon.

You can see plenty in two days! I'd suggest the park hopper ticket. It is so nice to have the two parks right next to each other! Literally across the plaza.

Just echoing what the others said, you can definitely do a lot in 2 days if you plan correctly. Like PP suggested, definitely read Hydroguy's tips and learn about the FastPass system. Make a list of the rides/attractions that are must sees for you and tackle those first. Do keep in mind that the Rivers of America will be drained during that time so Fantasmic! and all the attractions there will be closed as well, but it will give you more time for other attractions. Have fun!

The most number of days I've ever been to DLR is 3. I've done multiple 2 day trips. Actually, we get the most rides done during our 2 day trips. This past one in December, I got on 37 rides along with seeing Fantasmic, Disney's Electrical Parade, and the fireworks in 2 days. 2 long days, granted, but still 2 days.

It's definitely worth it, and with a little bit of planning/research, you can beat the crowds (if there are any) and get a lot done.

I would say two days at Disney is better then no days. I echo the sentiments about looking at Hydroguys tips they really helped me on the last trip I took.

We only spend 2 days in the parks, and 2 days to travel. I can't handle being away from home too long. I'd say 3 days is preferable, especially because it seems so crowded all the time now, but you can do tons in 2 full days.

Depending on what time you get there, I'd go Friday Night, Sat and Sun, and leave Monday.

Have to agree as well - you can do a lot in two days. I was able to visit DL and DCA over a Sunday/Monday last June and hope to so again next weekend. You probably won't be able to get on every attraction, but make a plan on what you want to see and start right at park opening.
