Hi,

We have been thinking about visiting IOA (perhaps also US) around june 25th. It will only be for 1 day (maybe 2) and the only chance we have to visit this year. Our boy (6 years) so much want to ride Spiderman, and the Girls are also excited about the attractions.
BUT we are not very comfortable with massive crowds. Have visited Magic Kingdom a couple of times, and to be honest, the crowds there really ruin the experience for us. I almost want to say it was a pretty scary experience and we had to keep our kids by the hand at all times.

Is IOA/US just as bad as Magic Kingdom? We are not the biggest Harry Potter fans, so thats not the area of the park we are most interested in.

Thank you all for your thoughts!

This is such a personal decision. And since there is a lot of money involved, it really means thinking about it.

Would you be able to stay onsite deluxe for one night? That would make all the difference to your family, I think. You'd have access to Express Passes for most rides (for the two days surrounding your night), meaning short waits for most everything. You won't feel the impact of crowds as much. It will be busy for sure since it's high season.

I would imagine June 25 would start getting a bit crowded. I don't find Universal to be as crowded as Disney but the Harry Potter sections are an exception, they can get real packed. I agree with the PP that it really is a personal decision. I am odd, I also hate crowds but for some reason Disney/Universal doesn't bother me.

A 1 day ticket is a lot of money

The crowds do not get as bad at IoA than at MK, but if you want to minimize wait time, let me suggest to get a hotel room at RPR and a 2 days ticket, in order to get unlimited express on both check in and check out day;
that's even more money, I'm aware of that, but you'll get more bang for your bucks.

Even if there are crowds, you won't feel them for the attractions.

Thank you so much for your thoughts!
I will definately look into staying at an on-site hotel, that really sounds like a good idea. :-)
