We are visiting for 7 days and likely doing the regular meal plan. We will have too many sit-down meals. Which should we pay cash for?! I’m having trouble figuring out which restaurants include tax/tip, etc. I need to pay cash for 3 meals/or a 2 credit dinner and 1 normal

Dinner at Ohana, tusker House, crystal palace, Be Our Guest

Lunch at Cinderellas royal table(2 table meal credits), Akershus

breakfast with Disney Jr at Hollywood and Vine, Al Forno Trattoria

Mickeys backyard BBQ (also 2 table service credits).

Help greatly appreciated!!!

The price at Cindy's and Mickey's include tax and tip.

If it helps at all, your adult TS credit is roughly worth $44. The prices for all of your meals are listed in the sticky over on the main Restaurant board entitled, "Buffet, Character, Shows, AYCTE Pricing."

The breakfast buffets tend to be cheaper and for that matter breakfast tends to cost less. I am paying OOP for Trattoria and Boma breakfast this trip.

When is your trip? BOG is moving to 2 TS credits in late summer.

We are good going in April thanks!
Are there children ages 3 - 9 traveling with you? It may be worth looking at the costs separately for the kids and the adults (i.e., what may be the best places to pay cash for the kids may not be the best places to pay for the adults). An example of this is BOG. If a child is ordering from the child's menu or an appetizer from the adult menu, then I would pay OOP for the child and save the child TS credit for one of the fixed price meals. But, an adult ordering an expensive entree, dessert and wine may do better using a dining credit at BOG. You can tell the server which diners will be using a dining credit and which ones you will be paying for.

The ones where you will *definitely* get a lot of value for both adults and kids on the dining plan are:
1. Akershus lunch
2. Tusker House dinner
3. Ohana dinner
4. Crystal Palace dinner

These are the ones you should look more closely at the price per credit for each adult and child:
1. Bon Voyage and H&V (they are the same price - $36 for adults and $21 for kids)
2. Mickey's BBQ (Cat 1 is more expensive than Cat 2, if you are doing Cat 2, this may be a good one to pay OOP)
3. BOG (May be a good candidate for OOP, especially for kids)
4. CRT (of the 2 credit ones, this one is more expensive).

If the costs/value are very close (or the same, as in the case of the breakfasts), consider paying with credits at the first restaurants that you dine in, instead of saving the credit for later in the trip. That way, if you need to cancel a later reservation (someone gets sick, you are too tired and want to sleep in the next day, etc.), you are not stuck with unused credits afte paying OOP.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

Thank you so much! I wasn’t thinking of the kids vs adult but just as a whole, this is very helpful!!! We have a 2 yr old and a 4 yr old so we will likely get great value compared to most people out of the older child’s meal plan since her sister will likely have some too. I’m guessing usually a 4 yr old is a waste of $ since they don’t eat much.

I’ll pay OOP for the 2 breakfasts and the Mickeys Backyard BBQ
Thanks again
