We want to just bring our stroller with us. Our DS will be 17 months old and so will still be carrying diaper bag with us. So would like to take his stroller as nicer than the rentals with more storage space. What are the chances that it will get stolen while we are all on an attraction? Can we lock it up?

I have taken my kids to Disney 5 times now each time with strollers. Never has it been stolen. This doesn't seem to happen here. I usually just pick up the backpack I carry with the camera in it, and leave it. Occasionally CMs will move them so that more strollers can fit into an area. I would suggest putting some distinguishing thing on it so you can find it easily in that sea of strollers -- we use a bandana.

I have heard of people taking the ones that people rent. They just remove the receipt from the back and take the stroller. This doesn't happen with privately owned strollers though.

I've read on other boards about strollers being stolen, and I was growing very concerned. I want to bring our own stroller as well, and certainly don't want it to disappear. I was thinking about somehow sewing our name on the stroller, and also putting a bandana or something like that on it, too. My DH said we could take a bicycle lock with us, and I thought, "Oh great....won't that look nice....real Disney spirit." (sigh) I still think we're going to bring ours, tho. I certainly won't leave anything valuable in the stroller when we leave it for attractions. Hopefully, it'll work out.

Hugs,
Margo

I've never heard of a stroller getting stolen. They do get moved around and parked in different places. I don't leave any valuables in it while we ride rides but I do leave our cooler or snack bag and our brita bottles. I have never had a problem.

i wouldn't worry about. i brought my $400+ kiwi e3 and no one touched it. (although most people wouldn't even know what it was)

i have read NOT to leave it outside at DTD if you have a high end stroller as they are more likely to get snatched there.

i've heard that you cannot lock the stroller to something, such as a rail or pole because the cm's might need to move it, BUT you can lock the wheel so it doesnt move.... i might do that with mine.
