Worried about staying at PBH

Just to let you know we had a problem with the AC filter again. It looked like it was not changed in a long time. They ended up fixing it right away. If you have any problems just go to the front desk of call star service from the phone. They are very fast and want to make you happy.

I know you are already there but hope you had a great time! We loved the PBH but were surprised to find we liked RPR even more!! I don't think you can go wrong with a Universal hotel we've been impressed each time.

The only reviews that might be right on trip advisor for me was the Contemporary! Wow - it was just awful. From the atmosphere of the lobby to the room we didn't like anything. Even the MK view couldn't make up for the negatives. One great plus was that they quickly moved us over to the Yacht Club when we shared that this wasn't a good resort fit for us. Hope the PP had a better experience!

We just got back from our split stay at Royal Pacific and Contemporary and I must agree. We won't return to Contemporary. It was so grubby. The carpets in the hallways were so filthy (the carpets when you get off the monorail were 100 times cleaner), our bathroom had mold and there were brown streaks of some kind of goo on the walls in our room. It was so disappointing. For that price, it was just not acceptable.

OP HERE! Oh My Gosh! Trip Advisor was soooooo WRONG!

Arrived Sun morning around 830-9, was greeted by a very nice young man, named Christapher (yes that is how you spell it) I told him, I knew that we were early and I knew our room probably was not ready, but I requested the West wing so I could be close to the beach pool, he said, let me check, said nothing was available right now in the WW. But, he had a room available in the Villa wing (he gave us a comp. upgrade from a reg. Qu room to a Deluxe Qu w/ pool view, it also had the pullout sofa chair bed,so DS didn't have to sleep on the air mattress that we brought)very close to the pool.(actually both pools)and close to the boat dock. The bathroom was huge. We loved our room and this hotel. On one day the AC wasn't cooling, called front desk, and it was fixed when we came back to the room that afternoon. Every employee we dealt with was very nice. We had no problems. This room was definitely worth, what we paid for it and then some.

We stayed at PBH over Memorial Day Weekend and it was wonderful!! The hotel is gorgeous! Our room was huge and very clean. Check-in was a breeze, our room was ready at 1pm, much earlier than I expected. Everyone we encountered was very nice- no rude employees at all. Boat shuttle was relaxing after a long day. Pools were great. Food was great. We loved it! Definitely a beautiful hotel. We love the Poly and usually stay there each time we're at Disney, but I hate to admit it, PBH was a much nicer hotel. And the front-of-the-line perk was AWESOME, especially helpful during the busy holiday weekend. Definitely worth staying on-site for that perk!
