Worried about Ivan now too!

Keep in mind Frances was a strong Cat 4 this far out too (almost a Cat 5) and the forecasters predicted it to hit us as a Cat 4 and it stalled and weakened-I just can't imagine if something like this hits us--can't think about it anymore.

We still have mountains of tree limbs sitting around our streets not to mention there are still thousands without electricity.

Realistically I wouldn't count on it fizzling out but we can hope!

but I work remotely (from NY) for our FL office, and they keep having to shut the server down due to thunderstorms and it has been off the entire time the hurricanes were in FL. I am hoping I can get on long enough to get everyone paid correctly, and I hope for their sake they don't get hit by Ivan. We are still going, though.

I live in South Florida & everyone is out buying stuff today. The thinking seems to be it won't miss us the third time. Gasoline is going fast. You can't buy a gas can anywhere around & they are fillling them up today. If I had a trip planned to FL anytime soon I'd stay home. No one knows where it will hit or even if it will hit FL or how strong. Food, gas & such are already in short supply here. They have already called for an evacuation of the FL Keys. I hope it stays away & I"m with everyone else hope it fizzles. I feel for the people who have already been hit by Ivan & who are about to be.
