Worried about HRH?

We are staying at HRH Nov 2-5. I had Rpr but I switched because everyone was saying how great it was. Now I keep hearing about how tired and run down it is. Is it really that bad?

If you get a room you don't like, make sure they change it. The hotels shouldn't be very busy on Nov. 2-5.

Make sure you request a room that is not where they allow dogs. We stayed in 2004 and had a great room, we stayed in 2006 and the room we were in was on the lower floor that allowed dogs. The hotel is so beautiful, but, the carpets in the hallway and in our room were obviously stained. I have no problem with poochies, but, they need to clean those carpets!

Don't worry about the hotel, if you get a normal room away from the dogs, you'll be fine. I would definitely stay there again!

I've stayed at HRH 2X and RPR 2 X. I doubt I would ever go back to HRH. IMHO the customer service there stinks. Hopefully they have new management. Last time at HRH they offered to com our room due to being locked out until 1 am (keys were not coded correctly and front sesk insisted they were. Security ended up yelling at front desk unti lthey moved our room). Anyway lo and behold the following month the charge was on the CC. Manager lied and told CC that the only reason we had a bill with 0 as the amount due was because the computer was down when we checked out. CC believed management and we ended up paying for the room afterall.
I won't even go into all the details of the first trip. In short.... housekeeping refused to mop up after the over flowed toilet (which over flowed the first time we used it). Finally after 2 days my DH washed the floor with bath towels.

We stayed at the HRH in April....Easter Weekend.....LOVED IT. I didn't see any problems w/ the hotel or have any issues w/ the staff....they were very accommodating. Loved it so much that we are staying there again in July!

The carpets in the hallways are a little run down because they get so much traffic. You see, the HRH only has one tower, and the elevators are in the middle. So everyone walks back and forth down the same hallways. This isn't the case at the RPR or PBH.

It's not really that bad. Just make sure to call them before your flight to make sure your ressie is still on file. And it's a good idea to check in early when the line is short.
