My fiance and I are getting married Dec 14th at Sea Breeze Pt on the Boardwalk. We planned on paying for our first three nights at the BWI and then my uncle (owns OKW) was going to book a BWV studio for us Mon - Thurs. I am worried that this isn't even going to be possible. We LOVE the boardwalk and plan on buying DVC there within the next couple months. Do you think our chances are slim to none booking at that 7 month mark? This is part of our honeymoon, and we would be devastated not to be able to stay there. Is there any hope?

I'm buying Boardwalk right now and have zero confidence of getting a December trip in '08 at the Boardwalk.

My sister already owns and makes her ressies day by day at the 11 month window to the exact date.

I wish you all the luck, but unfortunately, you're gonna need it.

I think you'll most likely have to waitlist. I don't know what the chances of a waitlist coming thru, however. It might be more stress than its worth. If you really want to stay there, I'd just do a cash ressie. Or, maybe trying renting some points from a BWV owner who could book your ressie now?

I agree with the above poster that yourchances aren't great, but it's possible if people are switching out at 7 months you might get something, be sure to get on the waitlist and see what happens, by all means have a back-up plan though. Good Luck:)

Good luck! And Congratulations! The most important thing is that you will be in WDW, and OKW is beautiful, peaceful and I believe that you will enjoy the quiet after already spending a few days on the boardwalk. :)

I'd go ahead and make those cash ressies at BWI and then you'll be covered either way. You can always cancel those if your uncle is able to work magic at the 7 month mark at BWV. Better safe than sorry, especially when dealing with such an important event. Congratulations!

Congrats! If your heart is set on spending a special occassion at the Boardwalk...I would also make the cash reservation. I called two weeks after the 11 month window for BCV and I am on the waitlist for 5 of my days. I know BWV is bigger but that is a busy time for DVC!

I agree with trying to rent from a BWV owner now and have them make the reservation!

There's hope as long as you don't have your heart set on a Boardwalk view or a standard view. Those are limited in number and owners book them up right at the 11 month window for that time of year. But I think you have a decent shot at getting a Preferred View - Pool/Garden unit.

That said, ask your uncle if he'd be willing to call day by day for the reservation. If he calls as soon as MS opens (9 Eastern) and waitlists for each day that is not available, I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in.

Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming wedding. Lucky You - a Disney bride!

Thank you all for the well wishes and advice. We're in the process of booking a studio for July (planning session.) My uncle agreed to give us 4 nights pts then instead. We have a discounted rate in Dec at the BWI and I know it won't be a problem getting a room there. I think this will be much less stressful. That being said, we're not too picky about our early july trip. What do you think are chances of getting a studio for a couple nights during the week are?

You should have him call MS to reserve today. Four months out to book BWV is very iffy. You might get lucky, but typically they are sold out then. Good luck to you!
