Worldquest, Caribe Royale, Floridays or Other?

My husband, our two year old and I are thinking about hitting Disney December 14-18 and I think we'd like to stay off site this visit so we can have a suite. (We also feel like Disney food has gone downhill...or else our palates have gotten snobbier!)

So far, Worldquest, Caribe Royale and Floridays resorts all look great on Tripadvisor, and they are all pretty close in rates. Caribe Royale is the cheapest, but not by that much.

Any opinions? Anywhere else to look? If we're going to stay off-site, it would be really nice to have two rooms so we can hang out while our son sleeps.

We just stayed at the Mike Ditak Runaway Beach Club in Kissimmee last week, and it was fabulous. We reserved a 1 bedroom 1 bath suite via travelocity, but got upgraded for no charge at checkin to a 2 bedroom 2 bath unit. We had 2 bedrooms, both with walk in closets, a full kitchen with pots/pans/dishes, etc. A washer/dryer, a living room with two pullout sofas, a tv with dvd in the living room and tvs in both bedrooms. It was huge and clean and in a good location.

We stayed at Worldquest back in July and were impressed. We had a 3 bedroom 3 bath and it was huge and clean. The resort grounds and especially the pool area was great. They also provided a continental breakfast and snacks during the day. Worldquest would get our vote.

Have you checked Horizons by Marriot? Great pool for small kids with pirate ship, water jets etc.

We stayed at World Quest this past August and it was lovely. It's a 10 minute drive to Disney, near a lot of restaurants, and we loved our condo. Very spacious and well appointed.

We never swam, but the pool area was large and pretty, as were all of the grounds. We were very satisfied, and felt the cost was very reasonable for what we got.

We were planning on staying at Worldquest next summer, but now a bunch of extended family is coming and we're renting a house.
Anyway, while I was shopping around, I found our best price for Worldquest at a website suggested by the UG....octopustravel dot com.
Might be worth checking.

We just stayed at the Caribe Royale in August. We had never stayed but we were pleasantly surprised. I paid $89 a night for a one bedroom queen suite. There was 4 of us myself my 15 yo son, my 10 yo son and my 8 yo daughter. We had plenty of room. The rooms were nice and very clean, the pool area was great with the slide and waterfall, the lobby was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved it and would not even hesitate to return. It was like a deluxe Disney resort but at a value price. We were not thrilled with the food (we only had breakfast on site) but you are so close to everything that it isn't a problem. You are about 1.5 miles outside of Disney and it is very easy to get around. I wish I could share my pics but I am a little challenged in that area. I would go back here in a heartbeat, the location and cleanliness can't be beat. I am already trying to look for next year and this is the one hotel I would definitely choose.
