We are planning out our 4 days in the parks and of course we need to do World of Color. But the schedule says DCA closes at 8, yet WOC is at 8:15. I'm assuming this is a misprint of some sort? Would WOC be earlier then, as it begins to get dark earlier?

It is not a misprint on the website. DCA will run WoC after the park hours is concluded at 8pm on the slow days. If you have a FP for WoC that night you will be able to stay in the park until the park closes at 8pm and you will be able to watch the 8:15pm WoC show. When the park closes at 8pm rides lines will be closed but you will be able to see the show. Since you will be going during Fall time, it will get darker when it gets to that time.

You can check out the World of Color Superthread which will tell you everything about the show.

As mvf-m11c said, it's likely not a misprint. WoC has run after closing before, so this would not be surprising. Sunset is generally around 7:00 pm by mid-September, so it should be dark enough by 8:15 pm for the show to be presented. Personally, I also think they do this (have a late WoC) to help distribute out the closing crowds because DL often closes at 8:00 pm as well. That way, two parks worth of guests are heading to the trams at the same time (I know that not everyone uses the trams, but the lines can get long when the park(s) close).

We're going in September too, and I was also worried about it not being dark enough for World of Color. But I looked up when sunset is in Anaheim in mid September, and it looks like sunset is at 7:00, and "Nautical Twilight" (when it actually gets dark) is around 8:00, so sounds like it should be fine for the show.
