I’m going September 23-25, and I’ve been watching for WOC dessert party to open up. Today when I look at the calendar for September, it looks like World of Color isn’t showing. It says no nighttime shows are planned. Is it a refurb? Anyone know if it’s coming back?

I think I read somewhere that Disney are now cutting back on the night time shows and not putting them on every night. Perhaps they are going to go to a Fri, Sat, Sun schedule and not put it on during the week. Hopefully thats not the case but they are making a lot of cutbacks lately and I expect we will see even more once the staff pay rises kick in. Not saying the staff don't deserve a pay rise they most certainly do but it will affect Disney's profit margin hugely and so I expect we will see lots of entertainment cut backs and pice hikes to cover the shortfall. It is inevitable I am afraid.

Oogie Boogie Bash is happening on alot of September nights, maybe that has something to do with it.

No show on Friday the 13th or Saturday the 14th. The full week’s calendar is out, with just WOC on Sunday the 8th. Hoping they are just doing a brief refurb.

I think it is just delayed. Maybe they will announce something special. They just recently dropped the Storyteller Cafe reservations and still haven’t opened up Goofy’s Kitchen. Halloween food hasn’t been announced.

I hate how they don’t play Fantasmic! during the week in September. They should just drop it down to once a day except the weekends. It is needed during Halloween time.

I'm following this too... it's definitely not showing 60 days out, so I'm guessing there is something (not a refurb) at play. Maybe changing show times to earlier in the night? or setting up the seasonal WOC? I'm looking during October, and my park reservation on Thursday notes there will be no WOC on OBB nights... so maybe they are getting that part of the calendar sorted too?

Has anyone been recently and have any updates? We are heading down in a couple of weeks (Sept 13-15) and I still don't see WOC on the calendar.

World of Color is going under refurb. It will be closed Sept 9th-Oct 24th.

Where are you seeing info on when World of Color is back?
One of the unofficial blogs has Oct. 24 as the drop-dead day for completion, but that it might open earlier. I don't think Disney has said anything officially - and neither has Scott Gustin. (Gustin's post just said "several weeks" and "set to return later this fall".)

I was just able to see World of Color dessert party packages available beginning October 25 and through November 2 (which is 60 days out).
Well that’s frustrating for me… it’s showing no times available when I select the 26th… I wonder if it already sold out…

November 15 it will be reopening with the holiday overlay.

I should've been more clear about what I was seeing... I didn't go in to see if any times were available on those dates, only that you could select those dates to search for times (ie, the dates 9/9 - 10/24 were grayed out and you couldn't even choose them to search for openings). Sorry for the misunderstanding. I also do not see any available times on 10/26.

I've also seen a user on here that has said that it wasn't opening before that date.
I think a few of us were guessing on that part - wondering if the refurb was (at least partially) to install something explicitly for that show. But if they can run any show at any time, it's possible they could start earlier than that with One.

I'm not finding their name right now to look for it. They seem to have more of an insider information. I think it started with Maxi but nothing comes up from searches using that first name. I know that I've seen things on opening dates and other things from there on here.

I saw that same comment that it was coming back from refurb but wouldn’t go live till “late” in the year or something for the holidays…
