World of Color Dining Options for kids?

Hi all,

I am looking at booking a dining package for the evening of one of the World of Color viewings during October. I notice that are three options and I hazard to guess Ariel's Grotto is the most kid friendly option but since we will be visiting Ariel's Grotto earlier in our trip I though I may try something else.

So I wondered how family/kid friendly the other two options are - Carthay Circle Restaurant and Wine Country Trattoria.

I am guessing the latter is more adult orientated. I have four kids - 11, 9, 6 and 4.

Thanks in advance.

I can't speak about the WOC dining options, but the regular dinner at Wine Country Trattoria has a great kids menu! Ds (3) loved the pasta. I got this really sugary kids drink so he could have a light up Lightening McQueen. So, family friendly for sure! Plus, for your older kids, my Mom and I were able to split a meal without paying a fee.

So glad you posted this question, none of the menu's for WOC look kid friendly.

My daughter has always loved the kids menu at wine country trattoria WOC dinner. I can't imagine thinking it isn't kid friendly. They have pasta with marinara sauce, cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza and grilled chicken. Last time we were there during the Pixar parade and got to watch the parade going by. We had lunch at Ariel's this summer and thought the new menu was awful. I wound up having to buy DD a counter service meal after we left because her food was not good. Mine wasn't either, so I could hardly fault her for not eating hers when I wasn't eating mine! We have always thought our food was good at wine country.

Excellent! Thank you for the feedback. I guess I saw wine in the name and just thought it was more adult orientated. Makes sense its kid/family friendly since its Disney.

Quick Tip - If you get reservations for Wine Country Trattoria around 5:00 or a little later, you can try getting a table along the wall to see the Pixar Play parade from the restaurant. When we ate there a couple weeks ago, they told us the upstairs section is closed, they're only using the lower level now.

BTW, our 11 year old was able to order from the kids menu and she loved the pasta with turkey meatballs. I think the kids menu availability to kids who aren't Disney kids is at the wait staff's discretion. She also had no problems being a kid at Blue Bayou.

We just went to Wine Country Tarttoria and had the WOC package with a picky DS16 and DS11. We had the prix fixe menu. Both of my boys were willing to try something, one tried the salad, and the other tried the Italian Wedding soup. DS16 did not like the Italian Wedding Soup. DS11 said the salad was ok, DH and I loved the salad. Both boys had the lasagna and like it a lot. There was nothing left on DS16's plate. I had the lasagna too and it was good but I wished I had gotten the gnocchi, I tried DH's and it was so good. We did not ask for kid's menus given their ages but you could call Disney Dining and see if the kid's menu is offered with the WOC package.

Tratoria booked! Picked 1700 as well to see if we can catch the parade. Do I need to tell them in advance (as in today) I want a table along the wall or I can ask when we get there?

For the online form there isn't any option to add "requests" or "notes" just allergies.

Thanks.

I'd check with them about an hour or 2 before your ADR to see if you can get a table near the wall. That's the advice we received at the Blue Bayou for a water view table.

Have fun!
