World of color dessert party?!

Yes! We are finding that most "alternative" food isn't very low carb! ITA that the cheese will help balance.

I started low carb 2 years ago for health reasons ( was pre-diabetic and pushing over 300lbs) and sugar free does not equate carb free or even low carb , it's an eye opener for sure.
I'm fortunate I don't have health issues that prohibit intake itself , i'm just insulin resistant so it makes it harder to lose.

I hope you can still enjoy the dessert party though :)

wanted to share a few photos from our view. This is the view from the second row high-top tables. (we were roughly the 10th party in line when we were seated). We also were able to have the waitstaff take photos of us before and after the show. They actually came up to us to ask if we wanted one for memories.

What an awesome view !! And such a cute photo , I love the server kind of photobomb haha.
Thanks for sharing , man I am soooo excited for this Saturday!!

On top of being short , as I hurt myself but getting better this was the best thing I planned for myself.
Typically we just FP it so not waiting on my feet for over an hour or rushing will be nice.
I'll likely be hovering in the area early because I like to be early :)

So, my vertically challenged teen has a few questions for those of you who have done the party:

Can you pick to sit in the high/low chairs? And if so, how long before the start time should you get there to get a high chair?

If there are only 2 people in your party, will there be additional people seated at your table?

Thanks,
AussieCaribou

We requested a high top table, although I think your view would be OK at either one. We arrived early - I don't remember exactly how early, though. Maybe 30 minutes? Just for clarity's sake, that's 30 minutes before they tell you to arrive not 30 minutes before WOC - I'm sure you already know that. We were a party of two, and because it was a sold out party we were seated with another couple at our table. That would not have been my first choice but everything was totally fine. There's plenty to make easy small talk about being at DLR, and you order drinks and receive your food, etc, so the time passes quickly.

My daughter is 6, so very vertically challenged! We were the second to last in line and we still had our pick of high or low table. BUT I almost think she would have done better at the low tables. There was a tall man at the low table right in front of us, so she had to move her chair over. Honestly, you can't go wrong at Any table in the whole area. I wouldn't waste my time lining up early.

Just seconding those who have said it doesn't really matter what time you line up. We arrived at the arrival time printed on our tickets and were pretty much toward the back of the pack in terms of getting in. But we were still able to get a great high-top table, which is what we wanted.

DD(13) and I were not seated with anyone else. There were quite a few tables of 2 around us. We were on the 2nd row of high chairs, and DD (5'4"ish) didn't have any trouble seeing. We arrived 30 minutes ahead, and there was already a fairly big line. I requested the "best" high table they had left and thought our view was great.

Question - I just booked WOC DP for 8/31 and the only time avail was 7:30 - that seems super early to me. As far as I can see for current schedules, it's closer to 9.... is it subject to change, and if it is moved later, is my reservation that I paid for also moved? Would I have to cancel and rebook? Since I had to pay in advance is this hard to do? Is it normally that early in late Aug? Maybe I shouldn't have booked this early, but we are so excited for it I wanted to make sure to get it reserved...

Just came back from a trip 6/28-7/2 and did the WOC Dessert Seating on 6/29. 6 in our party and we all loved it. Soooo much better than sitting on the concrete and then not being able to see over the person in front of you. Food was yummy - we suggest not eating a full dinner beforehand, just something light. My only slight disappointment was that with 6, we were at two tables side by side, but two of us were at a table with others. The couple we were seated with was lovely, but we felt like we missed conversation with our own party that we would have enjoyed.

On the whole I would recommend it and we will do it again if we have the chance.

I just got out of it tonight on July 2nd and I'm just spoiled for life. As far as I'm concerned this is the ONLY way to see WOC. I lined up at 7:15 and was second in line. They don't lead down and seat until 8:15pm and there's not a bad seat but I'm an over planner so this was better for me.

The food was all delicious , they asked if anyone was celebrating and I said my birthday do they decorated my plate, I got a table to myself too ! I could go on and on but if you're debating it just do it!

I noticed the 2nd show is a bit slower, so you are guaranteed your own table and more privacy. Good for anniversaries, and proposals :)

I'm going to take a guess at this one. I bet the parks will be open shorter hours causing WOC to show earlier. I bet your show starts at 8:00 and will not be changing.

That's interesting! I'm booked for August 26th and mine says 8:15. It's a Friday though so maybe the hours are changing the next week?

If we are a party of 3 will we be sharing a table with someone? I think it could feel a bit awkward...

Depends on if it is fully booked or not. When I went it was not fully booked. I had the table to myself. Each table was only one party. If it is full then you may have a solo traveler with you.
