Just wondering if WOC and/or the dessert party are any different for the holiday season. Different food, or the same? If there's a Holiday WOC, is it as good as the original show? Also, would it start on November 10th, or later?

Thanks!

Yes. November 10th!

Yes, they change up the flavors of the desserts but the items are the same. We did the dessert party last year in December and things were very holiday themed. We really enjoy the holiday version of WOC, we thought it was amazing!

I've never done this and I might like to try it this year. Any preference as far as times go? Is it hard to get reservations (there are 2 of us)?. We will be going to DLR Dec 7-11.

Oh, you should totally do it. I always do the 8:00 show. The reservations don't sell out lightning fast like Oga's, but will be sold out within a day or 2 of becoming available. I book the first day I can, just to be sure to get it, and usually the 8:00 sells out faster than 9:15. You have to pay when you book, but it's refundable.

If we have the option, is there any difference between booking the earlier vs later show? Any benefit to booking one over the other? Also - what time does booking open? 6am Pacific? or earlier?

I was wondering about this, too. I'm trying to decide which time would be better for us as it's about time to book!

I discovered this morning when I was looking that the dessert package opens a day earlier than the other dining options. I don't know if that's always true or just a temporary glitch today. I was also able to book Trader Sam's at 2:30 am this morning. I'd looked at midnight and it hadn't opened for my date yet, but when I was up a few hours later, I was able to book it. Nothing else except WOC dessert package was open yet. The funny thing was that I could only book Trader Sam's through the website by going directly through Trader Sam's. On the dining reservations part, it didn't show up yet.

Curious which Trader Sam's website you mean - the only one I see is through the Disneyland site.

Okay, I give up: what's a Mistletoe?

I didn't get it when we went but someone I was with did. They just said it tasted sweet. From what I can remember, it was kind of a green color, which would match the name.
Hopefully not poisonous 😁.

Is it a drink? Sorry; I missed the original reference.

Nope, not poisonous 🤭 And yes, it was the specialty alcoholic beverage that was an option for the dessert party. I just did sparkling wine and a lot of coffee and hot chocolate because it was cold.

Thank you! I wonder if they'd put a shot of peppermint schnapps in the cocoa...

I was able to book it one day earlier, so check at 61 days. It was consistently like that the whole 5 days I was making dining reservations.

Okay thats good to know, i will keep checking, i just checked a random December date the same week as our arrival, but a few days sooner, and both times showed availability, but there is no mention of it being the Holiday Dessert Party, is that all there is at that time, so booking the normal WOC dessert party in Decmber shall get us in for the Holiday? Gah, why must i worry about such trivial details. LOL!
