Everyone: Aren't Superbowl weekends tough? I actually find them much tougher than Valentine's Day. But don't get me started on Oscar parties....
Jen: Good to hear that your working/traveling/eating went well. I'm not quite so successful at it, but am working on being more conscientious. As for the Superbowl party, well, see above. You're exactly right, today is a new day! And I'm sorry about the stress--I know that really affects my eating/sleeping/workout habits, so I'll be thinking of you. (Oh, and it sounds like Wisconsin got our ND weather--that's bad for you, but I have to say I'm glad we're rid of it.)
Minnie: Good job staying on plan over the course of a couple of days--checks and balances, right?
Miranda: A pastry chef! I think I'm in love!

I live less than two blocks away from a pastry shop and I keep telling myself that just because it's convenient and that I like to support the local economy doesn't mean I
need that tart.
Cam: I think you did well overall, don't you? No tiramisu? That's determination. (Hmmm, do you all think I'm craving sugar right now?

)
Susan: Comfortable runs (or in my case, slogs)? Yes, I feel that way about the program, too! It seems to build up distance nicely. I'm not at 10 minutes yet, either, so I like the time-substitution which C25K offers. Oh, and good work on the diet, even with the coconut cake. I hope your workout with the trainer went as well as can be expected, given the lunges and all.
Mel: Great news on retiring the size 14s (& on the savvy shopping/selling)!
Texa: Whoo-hoo! Another C25K person! I'm a week ahead of you and behind Panthergirl. It does seem like a bit of a jump in week 3, but it makes sense in the overall schedule, I think. I look forward to hearing your progress.
Cam & Beth: How did your WW meetings go, respectively?
Dana: It's great to hear from you. I like how you're making plans to break that 150 barrier, but how you're also assessing your progress beyond the scale. I need to move beyond the scale, so I'm always glad to hear how others work through that issue. Let us know how your DVDs work out for you. (No pun intended, but the pun's there anyway.)
Carrie: I empathize with the reaction to the ILs; DH has noted my need for drinks and sweets increases with time spent with mine. But good news on the 40 minutes and day 2 of being back on the wagon/TM.
As for me, the past couple of days have went well with the diet. I ate more than usual during the Superbowl party, but most of it was healthy. (There are times when being a vegetarian helps you say no!) I did my fair share of chocolate desserts, but it my eating habits weren't nearly as excessive as I'd hoped. I'm on track this week generally, although Tuesdays are difficult because it's my long work day. I don't work out then, except maybe some gentle yoga in the morning/pm. I did have some a chocolate brownie today--Superbowl leftovers--but limited my intake by splitting one with DH. Coincidentally...I also "forgot" to weigh in today.

But I'll weigh myself tomorrow, at my regular time!
Oh, and the good news, at least for me...I'm still drinking soda, but I figure I've cut my weekly intake in half! I'm really happy about that.
