Hi Guys!

New to the boards, and didn't see this discussed, so I thought I would ask!

I am lucky enough to be an Independent Contractor for my previous employer. In other words, I work from home! Its primarily a full-time gig, but I do have time for other work. I contemplated getting a part-time job (mostly to get out of the house), but the hours for most part-time jobs aren't attractive to me (and neither is mim wage, sorry).

Have any of you come across any legitimate work-from-home opportunities? I see them all the time on monster.com, but they worry me just a bit. And I'm not interested in making an investment in case I don't end up liking the work. I applied for some mystery shopping jobs, but wasn't sure which companies on volition.com were reputable. Does anyone have any ideas?? By the way, my experience is in Marketing Research, but that may be irrelevant.

THANKS SOOOOO MUCH!!! :earsboy:

A lot of work from home things are more like who you know and what you can work out (as you know from your other job). Most people I know who have success either run their own business (not part time) or work for a former full time employer.

I have been selling Avon and am doing pretty well so far. It can be a lot of work, but it's a small initial investment ($10!).

I have friends who do some of the party plans & you can make money with those if you're persistent and organized. Things like scrap booking, rubberstamping, usborne books, pampered chef. Avon even has a home party plan now! I'm looking into that cuz doing makeovers and skincare sounds fun. :)

Good luck with your search!

My DH sells Prepaid Legal memberships. The main goal of this is to connect people with a service that they need (legal services) at a price that they can afford. My DH qualified for their getting paid daily program. When he sells a membership, he gets paid that day. If anyone wants information, PM me and I'll e-mail you his website.

We also have a catalog that we sell items out of. We haven't done much of that lately though... not enough time. We also eBay on occasion. I think that we will be doing more of that since we need to clean out our house of junk and things we don't need. Not to mention, earning money for Disney too.:teeth:

Wherever your search leads you, good luck! Welcome to the DIS!
