WOOT WOOT WOOT - I am so excited about the fantastic deals I got on the American Girl site for my daughter for Christmas!!! Orginal Price $196.65 bought for $79.95 which included shipping!!! 12 items!!!! I am so happy!!!! Now if I can only find a Dollie and Me Dress/outfit

I'm so glad you got what you wanted. I wasn't impressed with the selection this year.

I felt the selection was horrible; pages and pages of the stupid books no one wants, tons of stuff for bitty baby, and kid sized clothes that have been in their clearance section for months that they can't get rid of. The only things really worth the time were the horse, the Bitty Twin kitchen, and the Bitty Twin beds. Unfortunately, my daughter is too old for Bitty Twin.

I did well too...ended up with 6 outfits and some "extras" (including books, accessories, storage caddie, etc) for about 125.00!!

check out amazon.com for dollie and me dress outfits. I am not sure about their dress selection but they have some cute pj sets for $25 (no tax and free shipping).

I wasn't impressed, either! All my DD6 has asked for is the wheelchair. (I don't get it, but whatever!) I was at least hoping for free shipping with any purchase, but no. Oh well.

For those that were looking for Bitty Baby stuff, it was a great sale.

For everyone else, it was a bust.

You can find nice Dollie and Me outfits at Sears. They alwasy have a great selection. They had dresses and jogging suits recently. Kohls has them as well just not as much! Good luck!

I saw a bunch at Kmart yesterday - some of the short sleeved ones were on clearance for $10!!!

I'm really sorry you feel that way about the books. I have very fond memories about reading the American Girl books as a child and I was just telling my DH the other day that I hope that someday our future children will enjoy them just as much.

While I do agree that the books are great, I think that adding them to the Cyber Monday sale was a shady way for AG to advertise having "over 100 items" in the sale.

There was very little included in the sale by way of 18 inch doll clothes or accessories. The vast majority of the stuff for sale was for Bitty Baby and something like 40 of the items were books or book like items.

My DD does read the books and enjoys them, but I would have been much happier to see some of the Historical outfits, furniture, or accessories included in the sale, as those are the things my daughter has on her wish list.

I bought my Daughter a bunch of the books - I dont think its fair to say no body wants them.... We dont have any books yet - My daughter is 6 going on 7 and just really starting to read the harder Chapter books and I am so excited I could get them for $4 a piece amazing deal in my mind to share the gift of a book with my daughter!

We are just new to the American Girl stuff we dont have anything and I was able to get my daughter quite a bit for what I thought was GREAT deals! I dont think its fair for people to be upset with a sale because the one item they wanted didnt go onsale... but to each thier own - I couldnt be more happy with my finds today! I did see that they are having "Specials" between now and Christmas so I will keep watching!

And as far as free shipping - I will be honest I had to pay $7.95 for shipping 12 items I dont think that is bad at all. That is 66 cents per item I can handle that any time! and Let me tell you I am a huge bargin shopper and I am just tickled!

I keep checking Sears, Kohls, and Kmart websites... nothing in my daughters sizes that I want at all :( Very disheartening... I might have to venture to the stores and see if there is something in person....

Well....we like the books :confused3 and DD has 3 18 inch dolls (and is getting another one for Christmas) but she also has Bitty Twins and the Bitty Baby so I was tickled to find the baby clothes on sale. I hate to pay $25-30 for the baby outfits, I will do it for the bigger dolls although I'd rather have a sale, but for $12 I bought a few. No comment on the clothes - I bought the "oat" striped shirt and would have gotten the pink vest but it was sold out. DD is too big for the girls matching Bitty outfits.

I hate to say it but doesn't that pretty much cover every sale? It is rare for me to bother with Black Friday Sales because none of what I want ever goes on sale. The only things I buy are filler gifts, teacher gifts, and stocking stuffers. I did get some clothes this year. But, you know what I mean - one person's trash is another person's treasure. I won't roll out of bed for BF deals but a good friend of mine does every year. For her the deals are worth it.
