WOOT! Waitlist came through!!!!

A few weeks ago, I posted about how the hubster and I came up with the idea on a whim of going to Disney for a long weekend in February. Well of course, his "winter break" from school falls on President's Day weekend. So after my posting, I called MS the next day, and....................

NOTHING WAS AVAILABLE (cue sad music).

So I put in for a waitlist. However, the CM waitlisted me at AKV and AKL for whatever studio opened up first.

So for the past few weeks, I been catching up on my reading here on the DISBoards about waitlists, and yadda....

Anyway, last week I called and changed my waitlist around to AKV or SSR. I called to see, by chance, if anything had opened up, even if I had to switch resorts, but alas, still nothing. I even did a daring thing and asked for the waitlist to be cancelled at 7 days prior to the trip. 31 days only gave me like another month of hoping........Anyway, nothing was available............

until this weekend. I just got on the Internet for the first time in 2 days and happened to check the DVC member site, and what do you know, sitting there at the top of the list...........a RESSIE for my exact days at SSR. We've stayed at SSR 3x this year so that's not a downer.

Anyway, I'm just sitting here now doing the Cabbage Patch...you know the feeling.

I called Saturday to place a WAITLIST for a studio this FEBRUARY at VWL. We had a 1 BR ressie but wanted to save points.. While I was on hold, the waitlist came through. Can't wait.

Funny, the 2 times that I called MS a 1 bdrm was available at SSR, but I didn't want to use that many points.
