I need to scream and shout, WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY AGAIN!!! YAY! lol.

DF and I got engaged in Disney back in November (1st time we've been there together) and since then DF has said he wants to go to hawaii for our honeymoon. It definatly wasn't my first choice but I had no serious objection so Hawaii it was. Well last night after looking at hotels and such for Hawaii DF goes, maybe we SHOULD go to disney, I'm sure it will be the last time we can go before we have kids.

All I have to say to that is YESSSSSS!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Okay now that all that is done. Some questions for you all.
1. What is the best hotel to stay at for a honeymoon? We were looking at the Animal Kingdom lodge, but DF wants something on the monorail line. What do you all reccommend?
2. Are there any romantic things we should not miss while there?

wooohooohoooo [doing my super happy dance!]

Congratulations on the engagement and the disneymoon! :mickeyjum

For the resorts, There are a lot of the Disers that stay at the GF, Poly, and WL for their Disneymoon. AKL is a very nice place. I love Jiko restaurant there. The only downside I see to AKL is it is rather far from most of the parks (obviously not AK). But, in the end it is really about which resort you really like. As for me, I am staying at WL.

Something romantic........there are so many things to do. I can't really say as to one thing that is a must. I would say watch Wishes from the beach around the WP/Poly/GF. You don't hear the music but, it is a nice romantic spot without a lot of people.

Congrats :goodvibes

We're staying at the GF for our disneymoon, b/c it may be the only time we'll splurge to stay there.

The WL is also sooooo nice! The resorts around the Boardwalk area, Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club, and Yacht Club are really nice too b/c they are within walking distance/ boat ride to Epcot World Showcase and MGM.

Good luck :) I am sure your disneymoon will be great no matter where you stay!

Congratulations... Df and I will see you there.. Being that we are getting married a week after you...:goodvibes

I had sen your date in another thread and was thinking I probably would be there at the same time but I think we may wait 2 weeks or so to go. I'm too afraid to go durring Jersey week. I see enough weird loud Jersey people everyday, I don't want to be surrounded by us freaks on my honeymoon, lol

congrats! thats so great! we stayed at the GF andit was WONDERFUL! you can check out my TR in my siggy. it was very romantic just in itself! we watched wishes from the GF, sat in the lobby and listened to teh piano and orchestra, just walked around at night, ate at Narcoossees (yum!) it is a great place! I bet the WL would be fun and romantic, too and close enough to the monorail and ttc!

Congrats! We're staying in the Garden Suite at the Boardwalk for 2 nights, then we're going to the Ritz Carlton Golf Resort in Naples for a few nights and back to Disney's Caribbean Beach. We couldn't afford to go to the caribbean this year, so we thought Caribbean Beach would be the next best thing. There are so many romantic things to do at disney, depending on your budget. The chef's table at V&A is amazing, but it's about $400. There are fireworks cruises, Cinderella's round table at MK, but make sure that whatever you chose to do, let the castmembers know you're on your honeymoon. You never know when they will surprise you with a little pixie dust!pixiedust:

Conrats! I think a very romantic thing to do is dinner at the California Grill. The food is fantastic!! but when you call- ask what time the fireworks are and make your reserv. so you'll be there for the show because they turn off all the lights in the restaurant and pipe in the music from the park and it is just amazing. They also have a huge balcony so you can step outside if you want and they have speakers outside too. You cannot reserve a window seat, but if you show up 15 minutes prior to your reserv. you can usually get one there. I highly recommend this. The restaurant has a great atmosphere to begin with but when that show starts, you can't help but get the goosebumps. Enjoy!!

thanks everyone for your suggestions :) . I have the feeling we're going to end up at the Grand Floridian. If we don't stay there now I know we never will once we have kids. So far I want to book a fireworks crusie (we had one booked for our last trip but DFi canceled it last minute, he was going to propose there but decided to use GOAL instead). I know we DEFINATLY have to go to the Cali. Grill again. We ate there the night we got engaged and it was THE best meal I'v had in my life. (Inside Disney or out) I'm also looking into a tour, I don't know which one yet. Maybe KTTK in MK or Segways in Epcot, still deciding.

No matter what happens I'm just so happy we're going back to Disney :goodvibes

edit: I forgot to add that when we went to the Cali Grill we made reservations for the fireworks and they ended up starting an hour early. I was so sad :( It was still great though, and we could see some fireworks going off from Epcot. Next time We'll keep track of changes that may affect us, lol
