Soooooooooo jazzed! We tweeked our December reservation so now we are staying the first two nights in a Kids Suite at HRH (We had a parlor Villa at PBH with friends, but one of them broke their foot so they canceled)

This will be our first Grinchmas! From what I have read, basically SL is decked out, the Grinch is out and about.... any must dos in this area???

I am assuming the rest of IOA/US is also decked out in Christmas decorations.....

Best viewing spot for the Parade?? And is the only parade the Macy's one??

Can you make reservations at Margaritaville before hand?? What about NASCARland??

Is the BeetleJuice show ok for 5 and 6 yo's??

That's it for now..... and I should highlight FOR NOW... lol

THanks bunches!!!

We were at Universal last year at Christmas. IOA had a cool Grinchmas show outside right next to the Circus McGurkus restaurant (sp?). We saw the Grinch and other holiday characters all over the place. Universal is good about photo ops with characters.

The Macy's parade was on the Studios side. We got to see balloons from the Thanksgiving parade that were tied down. They asked us if we wanted to be IN the parade as a balloon handler. As it turned out, I had a terrible headache and I just couldn't see it happening. When we watched the parade I noticed that the "guest" handlers had on name badges with their name and home city and state. Boy, did I miss out! It looked like a lot of fun! They had characters that were playing games with the kids in the street. My daughter played red rover with them for a while and had a blast!

We are heading to Disney World this Christmas and will miss the holiday at Universal. If I only had time for both!

We stayed and went to the Macy's Day Parade it was their first day last year. It was great we were just down from Terminator. The Characters would come up and shake hands and they would throw candy cane pieces to us. I must of got about 10 or so. No kids around to share so I just caught them for my sister. I was glad that we had the opportunity to see it. We will be there this year.
