Well over the weekend we decided to FINALLY make our reservations for the Food and Wine festival in November. We always go twice in November, once for the Food and Wine, and then the week long trip at Thanksgiving.
We had originally planned on going November 9th-11th, the second weekend in November. That is the time we normally always go, since the Festival of the Masters is going on in Downtown Disney at the same time. However, my mother-in-law wouldn't be able to make it, so we bumped it up a weekend.
Also, the Riverside had become on of our favorites when not staying at the Fort, and when looking for something in the moderates. It is a great resort, themed great, lots of nature, and I love the old south look. However, there is a chance that this year we'll be getting a couple extra visitors with us, so we knew it would be tough fitting everyone into the Riverside.
So we said screw it, let's splurge, and we got a cabin at the Fort!!! It's been a couple years since we stayed at the cabins, and we figured if enough people come it will pay for itself anyways. Very excited, I had thought that the Thanksgiving trip would be our only trip staying at the Fort this year, but now we'll get two in the same month!
And even better, we were able to get seats at the Hoop Dee Doo for that Friday night! So not only will we be gorging ourselves at the Food and Wine Fest on Saturday, Friday night will be all you can eat fried chicken and the Hoop Dee Doo!!
I normally don't post about my upcoming trips here, but I love reading others "just planned a trip" posts. Since this was kind of a surprise, thought I would join in...lol.
Cabins, breakfasts on the porch, murphy beds, pine cone Mickeys, Hoop Dee Doo, Hoop Dee Doo, Crockett's, golf carts, boat trips to the Contemporary, wooohoooooooooooooooooooooo! Oh yea, and the Food and Wine festival, one of my favorites. I need to get one of those countdown thingies...lol
