Yes, yes, yes, I am taking my elementary school age children out of school to go to Disney World.
Reasons: cost, crowds and it will the one and only time I will have ever done this. Luckily, the school is great and they will be taking homework on the trip for the down times in the room while DH and I rejuvinate.
I was going to wait and see if Southwest 'dinged' me but Delta's flights are great and their price went up $10 in the last few days so I am out the $50 but have tickets. Also, they are one of the airlines that are part of the DME. I am so glad I have been saving for this trip that last couple of months because the tickets ARE PAID FOR!!!!
We arrive in Orlando at 12:30 and will hopefully be at POR by 2:00 and at MK a very green Tuesday by 3:00. Dinner at Crystal Palace, a few rides, Wishes and then early bed time.
Wed, MGM at rope drop until after lunch then head to POR for homework, relaxation and a swim. Back to MGM for dinner, rides and Fantasmic!
Thur, Breakfast with Donald and then AK for the morning/early afternoon. Then head to DD for BBB for Princess Elizabeth (DD) to get glammed up (boys will be at Lego place), then have a nice late lunch/early dinner to show off Princess Elizabeth
Go back to new resort and check it out. To bed early for early breakfast with Cinderella (hopefully).
Fri, Breakfast in the Castle with Princess Elizabeth and that Cindy girl, rope drop - hopefully. Stay at MK until close since it will probably close early due to Nights of Joy. Go back to AKL, homework, then dinner by the pool. Early bed time for rope drop at Epcot.
Sat, Epcot - Rope drop, hit the park hard until after lunch then go back to AKL for homework, rest and swim then head back to Epcot for dinner at Biergarten and Illuminations.
Sun - Leave the World for a 4 day cruise on Disney's Wonder - everyone's first.
Thurs - Arrive back at POR for check in and then head to park kids want to visit. Dinner at Hoop-di-doo at WL. Head back and pack for return trip home. Not much to pack as we will only have used one day's clothing.
Fri - Leave the World for good at 10:00 for 1:30 flight.
