WOOHOO Grand Californian $169

Pardon my excitement. But I've always wanted to stay at the Grand Californian and have never been quoted under $300 a night. I'm so excited. We did only get one night though. We are staying at Best Western Park Place Inn in a minisuite for 2 nights but the 3rd night they only had a smoking room available, so I'd had booked the 3rd night as a separate ressies and was still shopping around but for a few months now everything has been sold out. Then yesterday I came across the $169 GC rate on the Disneyland site ($205 after taxes and resort fees... so still not cheap) and thats no much more then what we were spending at park place inn and given that 2 of us get very sick in smoking rooms, that seemed very reasonable. So this Sunday night we'll be sleeping in style at the GC!

Yay for you!! I wish I could stay at the GC. But 3 weeks would be like 3 overall holidays for us so it's definitely out of the question. I'll be sure to hang around in there next year though and get the feel for it. Lol.

What date did you get at that rate? I'm going on Dec. 5 - 10 and was quoted $360 for a standard room at the GC!

Expedia.com shows a $169 rate for 12/4 Sunday and $189 for 12/6 Tuesday.
I wanna go now!
