It was a HA studio which we did not need or request and between the shower water covering the entire bathroom floor every time someone took a shower because of the slope of the floor and the solid wall on the balcony I thought someone who designed these rooms really missed the boat.

I had a similar unit at Marriott's Manor Club when I first stayed there one summer. It was a 3rd floor unit in a Georgian style building with slanted roofs. The 3rd floor meant you were on the slanted room. The wall went up about 3 1/2 feet and the unit overlooked the pool. So when I'd go out there I could hear the crowd noise below but only could see sky. That is unless I stood up and peeked over the side. My dad loved the room. And I did like the resort. I just make sure the next times I went I got a 1st or 2nd floor room instead sans solid wall. The place also has the highest beds imaginable. I've yet to get someone at Marriott to explain to me why they think those of us wheelies can miraculously climb a foot up into bed. Drives engineering crazy when I arrive and have them lower the bed. Why, they wonder, did someone think that was not an issue?

Robinb, thanks for the pic. At least I'll know what to expect. And I did say in my initial post that I expected some disappointment. Oh well...

tomandrobin, all this just means I won't lose my love for SSR. At least when Disney got around to designing those rooms they improved a lot on design. I've yet to make the shower leak (best design of a roll-in shower I've ever seen) and I always have a view of some kind. I doubt we'd even contemplate a BWV add-on until the contract expiration is upped anyway.

Down here right now at BCV. Went over and asked the front desk at BWV if the HA BW View had a solid wall or spindles and kind of mentioned how little sense it made (he just looked at me kind of blank) anyway-he called someone and they said there are some of both and that you could request one or the other ahead of time. Not sure what the location of each is though-the screen door area is perfect IMO (maybe kind of loud for some though?) but maybe some spindle ones are in great spots as well. Good luck either way.
