Sorry I'm just sooo excited!! I have been calling almost every day for MONTHS and was just about to give up and almost cancel one of the nights of our trip when I called last about 30 minutes before closing and was able to get a 7:10 PM time with the fireworks starting at 8 PM. My mom seems to think that it is too early and they won't let us stay for the fireworks but I've been waiting so long for something to pop up.

I'm going to celebrating my college graduation so I'll probably be getting one of those castle cakes. I've heard with the new 2009 theme, they are going to be offering different flavors of cakes and such will this apply to the castle cakes? There will just be two of us and I've heard that CG has mini castle cakes available.

We usually eat dinner pretty early and when I went to CG with another guest and we had a fireworks dinner it upset our stomachs quite a bit but I loved seeing the fireworks from there. Do people ever like just have drinks and desert here or is that not allowed because of the upscale atmosphere?

Thanks so much,
Amy

IF you are indeed seated at 7:10, you'll most likely still be eating your meal at 8:00 when the fireworks begin. So it's not too early at all.

Can't help with the other questions, as we always get a full meal and don't have any direct experience with those cakes.

I am happy for you. That has always been a dream of ours. I am sure you will have a lovely time. Please post some pics when you get back! :cool1:

There is no "rule" regarding what you order here but please keep in mind that if you take a table just for dessert, you are denying someone else the opportunity to dine here, someone who wants to eat a full meal. Also, your server will be denied the opportunity to make a much larger tip.

If you order just dessert, there is no way you would still be dining there at the time of the fireworks. I've eaten here at least a dozen times, never found the food to be "bad", perhaps you were there on an off night. I would definitely try the food again as it is some of the best offered at the World.

Thanks for your help. See I need to sit at a table as I am in a wheelchair. But I just looked at the menu and I'll probably try one of the flatbreads, that tomato soup then desert. I just do not care for Sushi at all.
