Hot on the heels of seeing Thin Lizzy in Belfast on Thursday night I've just gone online and managed to get tickets for Green Day . . . . . in the TD Waterhouse Center in Orlando!! What a way to round out our April visit!! WDW and a gig as well! Couldn't be better!! Life is good right now!! Think I'll go get me a drink . . . .

On my way back to London this evening I was listening to Virgin on the radio and heard a Lizzy classic..."Whisky in the jar", was never a Lizzy fan but like Phil Lynott. Just wondering therefore, who was on lead vocals given that he's not around anymore, and how did new vocaliost compare.

reminds me of The doors who have toured without Jim.

The core of the band nowadays is formed by guitarists John Sykes and Scott Gorham. Sykes also does lead vocals and his sound is uncannily like Phil Lynott. If you'd been there and just closed your eyes and listened, you would almost swear it was Lynott singing. Sykes and Gorham were the guitarists on Thin Lizzy's final studio album (1983 I think it was), 'Thunder and Lightning', and they are every bit as good now as they were then!
