Woo hoo! Just booked a trip for mid October!

We'll stay at Candy Cane (been there two or three times before). Three days in the park this time. Previously, the most we'd ever done was two. It probably still won't feel like enough .

Airfare RT from Chicago on AA was $319. I didn't think I'd get a better price (not according to Bing.com, in any case). Now I just have to buy my DL tix. I understand that prices on the DL Web site will increase on Sunday so perhaps I'd better move on that.

I'm now accepting invitations for lunch at Club 33 ;-). Due to the popularity of this offer, invitations are limited to the first 6 respondents ;-).

Will anyone else (yes, here on this board) be there around then? Also, is anyone aware of any ride closures? I'm pretty sure HM will be open by then.

Haunted Mansion Holiday will be open way before then. It opens on 9/17, if not a soft opening before that.

Star Tours will be closed. TSMM is closed from 8/30 to 10/10.

Halloween season starts Sept 17 so HM will be in holiday mode. Also Space Mountain will be in Ghost Galaxy mode. Please be aware that DL will close early on night when Mickey's Halloween Party will be going on (tuesday @ 6 and friday @ 7 mid month).

Other closures: TSMM will be down until Oct 10, Roger Rabbit is down all fall, and Star Tours is down until May, IASW will go down to do the holiday overlay some time in late October.

Thanks folks. What will make this trip extra cool is that a mere three weeks or so before I go, I'll be in Paris and will check out Disney Paris .
