Fortunately, Mrs. YEKCIM handles the finances at the YEKCIM mansion; however, I did have to deposit a considerable chunk of change into the old checking account when Mr. Visa came calling last week. Saved my lunch money (literally) for about a year, toward my new D50's, lenses, and flash.

don't know if this always happens with the canon rebates but i bugged the snikeys out of them to get my rebel rebate last yr..i have seen a couple of places they have a tendency to "forget" to send them so as soon as the time limit( think it was 4-6 weeks?) was over i started the "harassment phase 1" process..something to be said for nagging... and got it a week later
once i get the next lens (or 2) that new "whatever" body is my next purchase but i'll be saving for a while so it may be the body after the next one, who knows
