It's been a ROUGH two years with one thing or another - and even though we were just there in December, we definitely needed a "DO OVER." Was involved in 4-car wreck JUST as we had left the house on our way to Florida! Totaled the car and I ended up with not only a LOT of bruises but cracked ribs which prevented me from doing all the things I love at Disney - I still pushed through and had a good time despite ending up back in the ER (Celebration Hospital is awesome) in the middle of the vacation, but was definitely not the vacation I had anticipated.
So, my DS#2 and I booked this trip last Spring when I got the free dining pin EVEN THOUGH we BOTH were unemployed, hoping that it would all work out. IT DID!
Got a GREAT job in August that I love, he was hired the day before me, and we leave for Florida in EIGHT DAYS!! Taking DS2 (31) and my precious GS (5). Missed the 180+10 day window for ADR's and wasn't hopeful about making any but checked back periodically and had gotten all the ones I wanted, but the other day my DGS told me that the only "persons" he REALLY wants to meet are Jake and Doc McStuffin! Phooey! The H&V Disney Jr. meal is the only one I never really thought about booking! And at this late date, figured NO WAY I would get an ADR.
But tried a couple times this week and wonder of wonders, just got a perfect 11:20 lunch ADR for the one day we'll be at HS! I know I'm overdoing it, but we have breakfast at CM, lunch at H&V, breakfast at Cape May and then the last day lunch at Tusker House - all character meals! I want this to be the best time for him (and me too!).
DGS and I made a construction paper chain that GS and I made with a number on each ring representing the number of days until we leave - we started at 150 and are now down to 8!! He tears one off each day - he asked me the other day if he could just tear them all off and we could leave RIGHT NOW! Don't I wish!!
Doing the Happy Dance - can't wait!!
